With reference to our letter of the 4th October, we have

been asked by the Government of Hong Kong to inform you that

should you contribute to the Widows and Orphans Pensions Scheme

at the rate calculated on your salary, your prospective widows'

pension would be $802.40 which at 3/- 1 amounts to £120.7.2.

per annum, but calculated on a contribution of 4 per cent of

your pension it would amount to $643.28 which at 3/- = £96.9.10.

per annum. I have to request that you will acquaint us of

your final decision as to the rate of your contributions from

the date of your retirement.
